Barking Social was founded in December 2017 by Amanda Matthew.

Amanda Matthew has been a veterinary technician since 2015 working in shelter medicine, emergency medicine, and private practice. Through continuing education, she enjoys keeping up with newest practices in veterinary medicine in order to provide the best care possible and education to her patients.

After taking over the social media for a private practice, she quickly realized the potential to educate clients and also bring in new clients through social media communication. She has found that through this the gap between the veterinarian and the client can be shortened allowing the client to get information on their pet straight from the doctor. She has taken multiple courses in social media platforms and strives to continue education on the ever-changing platforms.

She has 4 dogs, Bacardi, Roxy, Arabella, and Jager. She enjoys spending time with her two nephews, fishing, and cooking. She lives in the New Orleans area of Louisiana.
